We aren’t “clubbers” or party animals per se, but we love staying up late and being around nightlife. So playing around with potentially staying on Naxos or Paros or Ios. So with that in mind, I’m not sure how accessible it would be to stay on Crete then go to Koufounsia for the day. Koufounisia: 100% yes based on what I’ve read here, it sounds magical for the serenity!! Definitely taking a day trip. Topless beaches and hot springs would be AMAZING. We’d love to go to like a feta cheese making factory or olive oil making place, stuff like that we like too. Another reason we didn’t care for Tulum (took a half day trip and that was more than enough!) Not interested in Santorini or Mykonos bc it just seems super crowded and not our scene. Not clubbers, we don’t like dressing up on holiday. So we like cities for that reason bc there’s always something going on, we’re not into sleepy towns so to speak. Our goal is to explore, we absolutely love walking around towns, no real agendas. So similar vibes would be awesome (easily walkable, cafes, bars, markets, topless beaches, good mix locals/tourists, varied landscapes, and easy to get around to more remote beaches or explore with a car). We’re 38/39 no kids, rescue dog parents.Īs a frame of reference, I loved Mallorca (Port de Pollença). Ive been researching articles and YouTube videos for several weeks to get a feel for which islands would be suitable for us, and have finally narrowed down my partner and i’s trip for end of June/early July!
